SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST/THERAPIST
The candidate for this position will join a comprehensive and highly-skilled special education team that is made up of special educators, an occupational therapist, a physical therapy assistant, social; worker, school psychologist, speech & language pathologist and educational technicians. As a member of this team, the speech & language pathologist/therapist will be responsible for providing services to help reduce or eliminate speech and language impediments that interfere with a student’s ability to benefit from the district’s educational program. This position could require the candidate to work in two school buildings that are in close proximity (elementary school and day treatment) which necessitates exemplary organizational skills, the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with coworkers and to follow federally mandated timelines for documentation of the provision of services.
Experience Needed: Working with students with speech and language deficits.
MUST HAVE SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST or THERAPIST LICENSURE and CHRC CERTIFICATION.
